Affirmations
An affirmation is a positive thought or statement. There are some suggested statements below and you can always create your own. A few things to remember: -
- Be sure to keep them in present tense for example “I now have a wonderful job".
- Avoid negative statement for example “I am no longer sick” change this to “I am now healthy in body, mind and spirit”.
- Keep them short and specific (easier to say and remember!)
I now create everything I want, easily and effortlessly
I am now perfectly healthy in body, mind and spirit
My life is filled with peace and joy
I allow my mind to relax and let go
I love and accept myself exactly as I am
You may choose to repeat your affirmation last thing at night and first thing in the morning or/and stand in front of a mirror and repeat the statement five times whilst looking at yourself in the eye.
If any negative thoughts come into your mind such as "I am unable to do this, my mind won’t keep quiet". Mentally say “Stop!” and replace the thought with the positive affirmation, repeating it mentally, verbally or write it down.
